Privacy Policy

This policy covers the website parkerpcpros.com and the Parker PC Pros Android app (com.parkerpcpros.app). Both are run by Parker PC Pros LLC, a mobile computer repair business in Fairhope, Alabama.

The short version

We collect only what you choose to send us, such as a visit request, a call, a text, or an email. We use it to help you. We do not sell your information. We do not collect any analytics or tracking data about visitors to the website or users of the app, and we show no advertising.

What we collect

Visit requests (website "Schedule" page). When you request a visit, we collect your street address, the day and time you pick, and your name, phone number, email, and a description of the problem. The address is also used to show which times are available.
Calls, texts, and emails. If you contact us, we receive whatever you send, along with your phone number or email address.
Basic server logs. Our website is hosted by Namecheap. Namecheap keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address and browser type, for security, on Namecheap's standard retention schedule. We do not use these logs for analytics or tracking.

The app itself collects no personal data. It has no accounts. Its only Android permission is internet access.

How we use it

We use your information to schedule and carry out your visit, contact you about it, and answer questions.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Services we rely on

Google. Visit requests are sent to a Google Apps Script service that we run, and are stored in our Google account. When you request a visit: the requested time is placed on our Google Calendar; we email you a confirmation of your request; and your address is sent to Google Maps (and, if enabled, the Google Routes API) to calculate drive time. AI scheduling assistant. A copy of each visit request (your name, phone number, address, requested time, and description of the problem) is emailed to an AI scheduling assistant we use (parkerpcpros-bookings@mail.grokbot.com) to help us schedule.
Address suggestions: Photon by komoot. As you type your address on the Schedule page, the text you type is sent to photon.komoot.io, which uses OpenStreetMap data, to suggest matching addresses. komoot privacy
YouTube (Google). The Tech Tips videos on the website and in the app use YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). The app also shows video thumbnails from i.ytimg.com. YouTube may collect information when you play a video, under Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Maps. The Locations page shows an embedded Google Map.
Website hosting: Namecheap. Our website is hosted by Namecheap. Its server logs are kept on Namecheap's standard retention schedule, under Namecheap's own policies.
Email and phone. Email goes through our email provider, Gmail (parkerpcpros@gmail.com). Calls and texts go through our phone service provider.

Stored on your device

The website and the app save a few settings in your browser's or app's local or session storage. This stays on your device. We never receive it.

bbm_howto_seen: remembers that you've seen the Bay Breeze Mahjong "how to play" screen (website).
ppp-mahjong-v1: your Mahjong game in progress (app).
bbm_autosave: your Bay Breeze Mahjong solitaire game in progress, so you can pick up where you left off (website).
pcp_klondike_autosave: your Klondike Solitaire game in progress, so you can pick up where you left off (website).
pcp_klondike_prefs: your Klondike Solitaire settings, such as Draw 1 or Draw 3 (website).
pcp_freecell_autosave: your FreeCell game in progress, including its game number, so you can pick up where you left off (website).
pcp_freecell_prefs: your FreeCell settings, such as text size (website).
pcp_spider_autosave: your Spider Solitaire game in progress, so you can pick up where you left off (website).
pcp_spider_prefs: your Spider Solitaire settings, such as 1, 2 or 4 suits and text size (website).
pcp_blackjack_autosave: your Blackjack hand in progress and your won, lost and tied count (website).
pcp_blackjack_prefs: your Blackjack settings, such as text size (website).
pcp_hearts_autosave: your Hearts game in progress and scores, so you can pick up where you left off (website).
pcp_hearts_prefs: your Hearts settings, such as text size (website).
pcp_spades_autosave: your Spades game in progress and scores, so you can pick up where you left off (website).
pcp_spades_prefs: your Spades settings, such as text size (website).
pcp_gin_autosave: your Gin Rummy game in progress and scores, so you can pick up where you left off (website).
pcp_gin_prefs: your Gin Rummy settings, such as text size (website).
pcp_crazy8_autosave: your Crazy Eights game in progress and scores, so you can pick up where you left off (website).
pcp_crazy8_prefs: your Crazy Eights settings, such as text size (website).
pcp_war_autosave: your War game in progress and scores, so you can pick up where you left off (website).
pcp_war_prefs: your War settings, such as text size (website).
ppp-mahjong-table: your Mahjong table choice, gentle or full (how often the computer players call) (app).
ppp-intro: remembers that the app's intro has been shown during the current session (app, session storage; cleared when the app session ends).
theme: your light or dark display choice on the Classic view page (website, local storage).

The app also keeps an offline copy of its own pages. On the website, "Save game" downloads a small game file to your device, and that file stays with you. We do not set any cookies ourselves. Third-party services, including those described above, may use their own cookies under their own policies. To clear this storage, clear your browser's site data or the app's storage.

Children's privacy

Our website and app are meant for adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Keeping and deleting your information

We use booking and contact information only to schedule and complete the service you asked for. For the information Parker PC Pros LLC itself holds, we delete booking and contact requests within 30 days after the job is completed or declined, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. The one exception is billing records (invoices and payments), which we keep only as long as tax law requires. This 30-day deletion covers only what Parker PC Pros LLC holds. Third parties such as Google, YouTube, komoot, our AI scheduling assistant, and our host Namecheap keep any data they receive under their own policies and retention schedules. To see, correct, or delete your information, call or text (251) 303-4404 or email parkerpcpros@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. The app has no account to delete.

Security

Requests are sent over encrypted HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.

Advertising

The website and the app currently show no ads.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date.
