Bay Breeze Mahjong

The American Edition, played the Bay Breeze way: classic Bams, Craks and Dots under a Mobile Bay sunset, matched at your own pace. No timer, no pressure — just a pleasant pause, like the breeze coming off the water at golden hour.

Heads up: this is a one-player tile-matching game that uses American-style tiles. It isn't the 4-player game played with the yearly card.

Evenings on Mobile Bay, dealt in tiles

Bay Breeze is named for the best part of a Fairhope evening — when the heat lets go, the breeze comes in off Mobile Bay, and there's time for one unhurried game on the pier. The American flag is up, the sun is going down over the water, and the tiles are out on the rail.

This edition deals the classic American tile set: Bams 1–9 (the 1 Bam is a bird), Dots drawn as circles, Craks with a red numeral over the 萬 character, Winds as plain E · S · W · N letters, Dragons (the white one is Soap), and eight Flowers — Rose, Iris, Sunflower, Magnolia, Azalea, Camellia, Gardenia, and Crepe Myrtle. Same calm engine as the original Bay Breeze, dressed in navy and crimson.

Every board is dealt solvable, every game is free, and there is never a clock. Win or lose, the bay is still there when you look up.

The Bay Breeze wayNo timer, no score chasing, no pressure — play a board in five quiet minutes or stretch it out with coffee.
